Tower Tagger is an 8-bit style platformer in which you, a nameless graffiti artist, are discovered in the middle of the LA graffiti towers located in downtown Los Angeles. Climb and spray your way to the top!
I was inspired by the Los Angeles graffiti towers downtown and how polarizing they seemed to make people. Some called the graffiti vandalism and the people who made them, hoodlums. Others saw it as an expression of local artists on large abandoned buildings. I found it to be an interesting topic and want to express this interesting event in game form. I gave myself 1 month to complete the entire game.
As a solo developer, I was responsible for every aspect of the final product. From concept to finished project, I held the vision I set out to complete and made sure that every aspect of the game reflected it.
Creation of a game with limited time is no small feat. As a result there were aspects I needed to remove from the final game so the player would be able to experience a fully finished game.
